Snow Cold

"Snow Cold" 4 x 4 inch Oil Painting On Panel. $ 40 Buy on Etsy We have snow here in Midwest New York so I added snow to this painting. Yesterday, I was inspired to put up my indoor Christmas decorations.  I've decided that from this year forward, They'll go up the third week of November and I'll skip the harvest type decorations I usually have until after Thanksgiving. I LOVE Christmas and Christmas lights.  I have a vintage string of lights that live over my sliding doors to the deck so I can plug them in on a rainy day. Notice the word "Live"...that's because they stay up year round.   I still love to get in the car in the evening and drive to neighborhoods to see the displays, some of which are breathtaking.

Goldbird

Goldbird, 4 x 4 inches, Oil on Panel Click Here to Bid Sometimes, what happens at the easel, stays at the easel.  In my case, gets scraped off.  Also known to happen to artists is a rare phenomenon called happy accidents...This piece is an example of that.  Not sure what happened, but I like the outcome.

Thomas Iguanas

"Thomas Iguanas" 8 x 8 inches, Oil on Panel OK, I couldn't resist two things today.  First was painting this iguana.  Second is his name.  Those of you who took religions of the world in college know the pun. The photo source for this guy comes from my daughter's facebook postings.  She is currently honeymooning in St. Thomas, Virgin Islands and has spied more than one iguana on the beach.  I couldn't get this guy off my mind this morning.   I felt that I HAD to paint him today.  I felt so inspired that I took in process pictures and they are on my facebook.   Click here to see . My dogs, Cooper & Cookie desperately need grooming, but I guess that will wait for another day.

Jaffee

Jaffee, 4 x 4 inches, Oil on Panel, NFAC Bid on Ebay This is my entry for the Nibblefest Art Contest.  November's theme is the adorable Giraffe and I am the proud owner of a stuffed animal Giraffe.  Of course a perfect match for this project.

Time Out

Time Out, 4 x 4 inches, oil on panel Click to Bid Have I shared that I love cows? Happy childhood memories visiting a dairy farm of a relative.  My heart for all animals goes back as far as I can remember.   Decided to paint this cow in a Spring landscape.  Rebelling Winter.  Maybe I'll set up my Christmas lights and decorations to help me feel better about it.

Sophie

"Sophie" 9 x 12 Commissioned Oil Painting Sold I have not had the pleasure of meeting this dog yet, but from the reference pictures I want to.  She just looks so sweet and she has the kindest, prettiest eyes.  Her pet mom commissioned this painting as a Christmas gift for Sophie's pet daddy. I love painting commissions!  I wish I could every day.

Pam's Cottage

Pam's Cottage, 20 x 30 inches, Oil on Panel, Sold I started this piece a month ago...September 30.  It took me down some rabbit holes and depths of studio work frustration I had not experienced in recent history.  I do love how the piece turned out and I'm at peace with my lessons learned.
