"Teenage Dreamland Sheep" 4 x 4 inches, Oil on Gessoboard, Sold This is one strange sheep, in a strange environment, but I think the two strange elements work well together for a painting.  I hope to paint the Daily Paintworks "Roses" challenge.  What better week to paint roses than mother's day week.

"The Little One" 4 x 4 inches, Oil on Board Sold - Thank you Another record breaking cold and windy day today.  Decided to protest the cold by painting an adorable spring lamb using older photos.  I love lambs and it is especially heartwarming to see them jump when playing.  What a comfort to know that more will be born this year for me to visit, albeit roadside, for pictures and sketches.  Spring 2014, where are you?

Sold! - Thank you We are fully in winter.  The temperatures are like the middle of January.  Because I live in a rural area, I've seen chickens out in winter.  They take it in stride and go back and forth from the warmth of their hen house to where they are allowed to range without much incident.  Not like me...I hate the cold and turn into a hibernating bear, complaining all the way.
