4 x 4 inches - NFAC Nibblefest Art Contest Sold This little piece was painted today for the Nibblefest Art Contest and like always, starts on the 20th of the month and bidding starts at only .99 cents.  I probably over did it eating tea biscuits while painting this.

Nibblefest Art Contest -Sold 4 x 4 inches, Oil on Panel This month's Nibblefest Art Contest or NFAC, has a Space/Planets/Stars theme.  So don't you know the first thing that came to mind was the "Lost in Space" TV Show. Then the B-9 Robot.  But really, space is not cute, and I like to make cute paintings for Nibblefest.   See how I talk to myself? So looking closer at what I think is cute, the top of the list are mice.  Although let it be known right here and now,  not a one of them are welcomed in my house.   What goes with mice...cheese.  Mice and cheese,  like toast and tea.  Somewhere in my childhood, I learned that the moon was made of swiss cheese.  So there you have it!  A cute mouse, on the moon and nibbling on the abundant supply of swiss cheese, with the earth off to the side.

4 x 4 inches, Oil on Gessoboard  Sold - Thank you This painting will be part of the Nibblefest Art Contest that will start March 20, 2015.  The theme is Flowers and what better flower than the daisy.  While I was trying to make a simple composition, the inspiration came to include a Big-Bottomed Bee.   Nibblefest Art Contests are held on ebay with bidding starting at just .99 cents.   The link that is included with this post will be live shortly after midnight on March 20.  The auction will run for seven days.

4 x 4 inches, oil on gessoboard Sold - Thank you I'm two days late in listing this painting.  Family visit and in my heart, family always comes first.  This is my entry into the February, 2015 NibbleFest Art Contest (NFAC)  The theme is Black & White and what better subject?  The Blackbird.  These birds are smaller than the Crow and Raven. I enjoyed painting this piece.  I'm having fun experimenting with brushwork.

"Ferret Angel" 4 x 4 inches, Oil on Gessoboard Nibblefest Art Contest, NFAC Sold, Thank you The theme for the November 2014 Nibblefest is two creatures in one.  When I gave it some thought, I knew I was going to put angel wings on some kind of animal.   Then I narrowed that animal down to either a Ferret or a Meerkat.  It wasn't until I actually sat down to paint that I decided to paint a Ferret.  So here you have it, a very hard to find Angel -Winged Ferret.  Like all NFAC or Nibblefest Art Contests, this piece opens with a bid of .99 cents and auction will close on November 27. On another note, I received quite a bit of positive feedback from yesterday's post "Rocky".  I'm kinda glowing inside.  It was very nice opening so many emails.

"The Little Forest Diner" Nibblefest Art Contest 4 x 4 inches Oil on Gessoboard Sold This is my entry for the August Nibblefest Art Contest or NFAC.  Bidding starts at 99 cents and this auction will close on August 27, 2014.  This month's theme is Forest Creatures and there's a squirrel or more in almost every backyard and they are also considered Forest residents.   I always try to add more whimsey when painting pieces for NFAC and this little fellow is no exception.

"Linear Love" 4 x 4 inches, Oil on Board -Sold This is my entry for the Nibblefest art contest (NFAC) with the June theme being all in a row.   I was stumped on this one, although there are great examples  HERE After giving this some thought, two little piggies were on my heart to paint.  I added some sky holes is the back...kinda in a row to reinforce the theme.  All Nibblefest paintings start at just 99 cents on ebay!  I'll post the link for this one on the 20th of June.

Touched Down, 4 x 4 inches, Oil on Board Nibblefest Art Contest entry for February Click to Bid Here's a painting created specifically for the February Nibblefest Art Contest.  The theme is Clouds and what better than a road, a storm and a clearing.  I had fun creating this piece although the first few attempts were scrapers.  

"After the Superbowl Blues"   4 x 4 inches, NFAC, Oil on Board Bid Now How many of you are spellbound for a minute or two after the Superbowl?  I know I'm either upset at the fantastic plays of the opposing team or elated by the fantastic plays of my team!  Either way, I need a few minutes to gather my thoughts. So this polar bear was painted today for the NFAC or Nibblefest Art Contest and this months's theme is Blue.  I thought about Blue for a few days and decided this would best represent that theme for me.
