Yolkfish

"YolkFish" 4 x 4 inches, Oil on Gessoboard OK folks, it's another "now I've seen everything moment"  Someone came up with a way to pluck a yolk from a freshly cracked egg.  How did I discover this invention?  Trying to find a fish to paint for this week's  Dailypaintworks challenge, posted by Carol Marine.  Scrolling through Google, I came across this fishy invention and Dah!   Carol is very skilled at incorporating broken raw eggs as subjects in her paintings and she does it in a manner that rates high on the wow factor scale. Actually,  EVERYTHING Carol paints rates high on the wow factor scale.  So the Yolkfish invention is just too perfect for this week's fish challenge. But I don't own a Yolkfish.  Well, I do have an artist licence and this is the outcome.  I do see in the near future, a package from amazon containing a Yolkfish will be at my doorstep.

Thumbsy

Thumbsy the Owl, 4 x 4 inches, Oil on Panel Sold - Thank you I feel another fantasy series bubbling up in my artist soul. I think a batch of owls are slated to be created! Thumbsy is the first one and of course he's modeling the universal sign of approval.

Olympic Skating Chicken, Pose lll

"Olympic Skating Chicken, Pose lll" Sold - Thank you! Still in A-Fib ( Heart Beat Arrhythmia ) but hopefully that will all change on Thursday.  I'll be spending the early afternoon in the hospital getting two procedures that should put me back in normal sinus rhythm.  Of course, there is always the chance it'll go back on it's own...any minute now would be nice.  OK enough complaining.  I'm pleased to offer my third skating chicken.  I'm pretty sure there will be one more.  I'm thankful that the first two found homes right away.

Olympic Skating Chicken

Olympic Skating Chicken, 4 x 4 inches, Oil on Board - Sold  Thank You! Well for the past 6 days, I've been in A-fib or Atrial Fibrillation.  It's very hard to do anything, much less doing my usual routine...so I've been watching more TV and I'm thankful for the Olympics.  Trying to keep a sense of humor about my condition,  I decided to use my artist license, stretch some boundaries and put figure skates and poses onto some chickens.  Today is the first painting made from the sketches.  I hope to have a series of four paintings finished before the Olympics are over.
