5 x 5 inches, Oil on Panel-  Click to Bid I was driving home, when I came upon some sort of major road problem and I had to take an alternate route.  It was a wonderfully sunny day, in fact, the best that Spring can offer.  Sometimes, even the littlest change causes one to look a little closer when driving and that's how I spotted this little guy.  Actually, he was comfortably grazing with his mate and a small herd of long-haired steer.  I am so thankful for my I-phone, because it takes great pictures and is always with me. It zooms and edits. What more can one ask for?

This is a young goat who is mesmerized by a white moth.  Part of the painting has a photo reference, the rest I used my artist licence...like the moth...see the moth wasn't really there.  But the goat does have spots!  I am glad to have gotten this little guy finished.

Little Spotted Goat 5 x 5 inches, Oil on Board, Sold This Pygmy goat's name is Godiva. She was just so cute...  a little chubby love-bug and I want one just like her.  She and her sister were at a neighborhood outdoor fall bazaar that I also set up a spot to sell my homemade doughnuts.   I could hear them bleating before I spotted them.  Well I had to get my sketchbook to draw at least one.  Thankfully, my car wasn't that far away and I was able to sketch Godiva before it got too busy.  I wish I could report that this painting is from that sketch, but I also had my cell phone and took 3 pictures.  I can report that it's a combination of both photo and sketch.
