4 x 4 inches, Oil on Gessoboard Sold - Thank you   Every now and then, I get humbled at the easel.  Like all artists, I have a love-hate relationship with it.  This painting was inspired by a recent trip to the doctors.  I've seen these shacks many times and each time I say: "I need to pull over and get a picture"  followed by, "I'll do it next time."  Sound familiar?  Well yesterday, I pulled over and got the picture. "Softie The Snowman" 4 x 4 inches, Oil on Gessoboard Sold - Thank you I felt like painting a snowman today, because looking out my studio window is like looking at a snow globe.  Not a blizzard mind you, but large, fluffy snowflakes falling gracefully from above.  Good thing because this poor snowman has started to melt and needs reinforcements.

Yesterday, I was inspired to put up my indoor Christmas decorations.  I've decided that from this year forward, They'll go up the third week of November and I'll skip the harvest type decorations I usually have until after Thanksgiving. I LOVE Christmas and Christmas lights.  I have a vintage string of lights that live over my sliding doors to the deck so I can plug them in on a rainy day. Notice the word "Live"...that's because they stay up year round.   I still love to get in the car in the evening and drive to neighborhoods to see the displays, some of which are breathtaking.
