This week's challenge for Daily Paintworks is to paint a rose.  Florals of any type require a lot of soft colors.  Muted colors.  I remember seeing beautiful floral paintings years ago, by an artist who exclusively painted florals and she approached each painting the same way:  Soft  muted colors and brushstroke whispers.

Although I almost gave up because my first two attempts were scrapers, I'm glad I stuck with it.  I'm pleased with this painting.  It will be up for auction at www.dailypaintworks.com
