Artist Easel



Artist Easel, Christmas Ornament, $14.00

I was inspired to make a Christmas Ornament just for artists and their trees!  The painting on the easel is a cropped print of one of my paintings that is bonded to the wood panel.  The panel is gorilla glued to the easel and passed the dropped test...stayed in one piece!  

I added tiny pine cones and a red cloth ribbon for a rustic charm.  

On another note, I'm going to start adding a Biblical Proverb a day to my blog.  Think of it as a nugget of Godly wisdom, based on common sense.  Below is today's:

"Hear counsel and receive instruction, that thou mayest be wise in the latter end" - Prov 19:20

Indigo Bunting, 4 x 4 inches, Oil on Board Click to Bid I'm fortunate to have a mated pair of Indigo Buntings visiting my bird feeder.  I say that because I've had the bird feeder for over 10 years and my first sighting was last week.  The male of this species sports stunning ocean blue feathers...some teal in there also. I paint with a very limited palette, so I was challenged to come up with the right mixtures.  But it wasn't very long before I realized that mixing the right "Indigo" color wouldn't be enough.  So I subdued everything else, to include his cute little beak.

June Daisies & A Bee

http://www.dailypaintworks.com/buy/auction/61715 June Daisies & A Bee 5 x 5 inches, Oil on Board   I have daisies in two different flower beds on my property.  I also have more than one area with raspberries, both black and red.  So for the past few days after supper, I've been outside picking, watering, weeding and cutting.   For today's painting, I decided to return to the garden and clip a few very fresh daisies.  I've been experimenting with painting bees and decided to add one to this piece.  What is left for today is studio cleanup and then order dinner-in from our favorite Italian takeout. My wishes for a blessed weekend go out today. - Brande

Business & Art Law take two 6 x 6 inches, oil on board http://www.dailypaintworks.com/fineart/brande-arno/business-and-art-law-take-two/77676    ï»¿Something got into me with respect to my first attempt at painting these two books,  That post is just below this one.  Everything is the same EXCEPT that I scraped off the painting yesterday because I didn't like the out-come. Someone else did like it and asked about buying it.  So I repainted it today.  I was going to repaint it anyway.
